Visana Health raises $2.6 million in funding. This one is for the once-a-month Advil poppers and hot water bottle-users. Why are people who menstruate left alone to deal with pain, injuries, and treatable conditions? Visana Health has some answers and some solutions.
The seed round included participation from Flare Capital Partners, Pixel Perfect Ventures, InHealth Ventures, SWL Healthcare Ventures and independent health care angel investors.
CEO Joe Connolly founded Visana Health to fill in the gaps left by inadequate women’s healthcare around the world. He was inspired by his mother, who suffered from endometriosis for decades without adequate medical support.
Visana’s interactive platform offers a wide array of services to members based around its four pillars: education, pelvic floor therapy, nutrition, and mental health support.
