Ted Abraham is the Founder & Chairman of the Board at Perceptive Navigation. Dr. Abraham is currently The Meyer Friedman Distinguished Professor of Medicine at University of California in San Francisco where he is Clinical Chief of Cardiology and Director of Echocardiography. Until July 2017 he was Professor of Medicine, and Radiology and Radiologic Service and Associate Dean for Research at Johns Hopkins University. He was also Director of Echocardiography and Director Johns Hopkins HCM Center of Excellence. He is a board certified clinical cardiologist with advanced training in ultrasound. He has been involved in ultrasound research funded by the NIH and industry for 20 years and has peer-reviewed publications in almost all major cardiac ultrasound technologies, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, three-dimensional echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, tissue Doppler and strain echocardiography, and small animal imaging. Dr. Abraham is an active clinical echocardiographer and started echo-guided pericardiocentesis at Johns Hopkins.
