Owen Kent, Founder, ATDev

Owen Kent is a serial social entrepreneur focusing on the nexus of technology, aging and disability. His lived experience with muscular dystrophy and extensive entrepreneurial training uniquely positions him to be a disruptive force in the medical industry. Following his graduation from UC Berkeley in 2017, he was a Form+Fund Fellow at UC Berkeley School of Law. He subsequently received the Venture Capital University Certificate from the NVCA. As an active member of the assistive technology space, he served as a mentor for Dr. Grace O’Connell’s Advanced Designing for the Human Body course where he met his co-founders Bianca and Todd. Following the incorporation of their company to commercialize rehabilitation exoskeletons, the company has received a Phase I SBIR from NIDILRR, an Advanced Industries grant from the state of Colorado and venture capital from UC Berkeley Skydeck. Additionally, Owen is involved in philanthropy, acting as Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Berkeley Center for Independent Living.
