Holly Maloney is a seasoned investor with a deep passion for partnering with successful management teams to build and scale transformative businesses. She discovered this passion early in her career while advising technology companies at AGC, where she learned that the most successful relationships between companies and investors are built on philosophical alignment—seeing the same opportunity and knowing how to maximize it. Her experience as a board member has honed her ability to identify and cultivate that alignment, helping businesses achieve their full potential.

She began her investment career at Guidepost Growth Equity (formerly North Bridge Growth Equity), where she focused on sourcing and executing investments in software-based companies while fostering trusted relationships with entrepreneurs and industry executives. During this time, she developed a strong interest in industry-focused companies with highly scalable business models, particularly those leveraging subscriptions, transactions, and high-margin services. Naturally drawn to complex industries undergoing digital transformation, she now dedicates her time entirely to healthcare investing.

While originally trained as a growth-stage investor, she now invests across all stages in healthcare, bringing insights from mature businesses to early-stage companies and vice versa. Her portfolio includes investments in CapitalRX, Sondermind, Ribbon Health, Tempo, Transcarent, Material Bank, Teamworks, and Predictive Index. She believes that scaling a successful business into a category-defining or disruptive force requires pattern recognition—the ability to anticipate how events will unfold—and she leverages the collective expertise of the team at General Catalyst to help companies navigate this journey.

Beyond her professional endeavors, she is a proud mother to two young daughters, Quinn and Riley, and lives with her partner, Mike, and their dog, Bo, in Marin County. She embraces an active lifestyle, enjoying running, hiking, biking, and exploring the outdoors. A new and enthusiastic surfer, she is always eager to hear about the best surf breaks. She also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees and Investment Committee at Bowdoin College and is a steering committee member of AllRaise.
