Colby Takeda, Co-Founder & CEO, Pear Suite
Colby Takeda is the co-founder and CEO of Pear Suite where he oversees operations, business development and strategic partnerships. Colby brings his diverse background in public health, aging and digital health to support Pear Suite’s focus on addressing the social and environmental drivers of health, especially for older adults. Colby is a former senior living administrator and helped open numerous facilities caring for hundreds of older adults in Hawaii. Passionate about developing the next generation of health care leaders, Colby also teaches courses in community health at Chaminade University’s School of Nursing and Health Professions and mentors students and young professionals, one of his biggest passions.
Colby serves on the board of directors for the Hawai‘i Public Health Association, Kaho’omiki and the Better Business Bureau of the Great West and Pacific. He completed his undergraduate studies at Willamette University and continues to serve his alma mater as a member of the Willamette University Board of Trustees. He furthered his education by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, Shidler College of Business and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. He is currently a doctoral student in health education at Teachers College, Columbia University.
