About Sean Murphy, Ph.D.

Sean Murphy, Ph.D., is a Startup Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS, with expertise in software engineering, genomics, and machine learning. Sean works with startups of all stages across healthcare industries on best practices, security and compliance, and data strategy. Prior to AWS, Sean was the Director of Scientific Computing at Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a Senior Software Engineer at Craig Venter Institute. Sean holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Yale.
