Amy is a Professor at UC Berkeley focusing on creating tools that advance the “mathematization” of biology and medicine. She received her Ph.D. in Mech. Eng. from Stanford University and has been recognized as a NIH New Innovator and an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellow. Amy is involved in the Bakar Fellows program, UCSF/UC Berkeley Masters of Translational Medicine, UC Berkeley Biodesign Immersion Experience Summer Program, and Stanford Biodesign Faculty Fellow Program. Dr. Herr was also co-founder and on the SAB for Zephyrus Biosciences (acquired by Bio-techne).
