Michael Bobola joined Optum in 2014 and leads the Optum Provider business for the West as the Market President. He is responsible for developing and executing strategies across 19 states and Guam in client performance excellence, growth, P&l optimization, product development and innovation. Bobola is accountable for ensuring client success and transformation so we can move beyond hospital sustainability conversations towards realizing a vision of modern, high-performing health systems of the future that meet the needs of patients and their communities. Core focus areas include strategic partnerships, revenue cycle and IT technology enabled services. Prior Optum roles include leadership within the growth office, revenue cycle transformation and operations departments. Prior to joining Optum, Bobola led corporate revenue cycle management and financial performance teams for Dignity Health. Bobola holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Philosophy from UCLA, and is a board member for the Southern California chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and AYSO Region 17.
