Ravi Kavasery, MD is the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Blue Shield of California, overseeing clinical strategy, quality care, pharmacy services, and provider performance. Before joining Blue Shield in 2021, he was Medical Director of Quality and Population Health at AltaMed Health Services and previously held leadership roles at Iora Health. He earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University, his medical degree from Yale University, and completed his residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. A board-certified internist, he continues to see patients in East Los Angeles and serves on the executive steering committee for the California Quality Collaborative.
