Paul Yock, MD, Director of Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign, Stanford
Paul is currently a Professor in the School of Medicine and the Dept. of Bioengineering at Stanford. He received an MD from Harvard Medical School, an MA from Oxford and an AB from Amherst College. Yock began his faculty career at UCSF and then moved to Stanford. He is known for his work in inventing, developing and testing new devices, including the Rapid Exchange angioplasty and stenting system. Yock also founded and is the Director of the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign, a program dedicated to advanced training in medical technology innovation.
