Ellen Amsel joined Medigate, an Israeli-based start-up specializing in securing the IoT of medical devices on networks, as Head of Information Security and Privacy & DPO earlier this year. Previously, Ellen worked with Ex Libris as their Privacy and Regulation Officer & DPO. Prior to joining Ex Libris, Ellen held several information security positions including Princeton University’s first Chief Information Security Officer, Stanford University School of Medicine’s Information Security Officer, and built the University of California San Francisco’s first information security organization. Ellen is currently serving as a member of the Research Advisory Board for the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM).
