Saumitra Thakur is managing Director at MedMountain Ventures. His passions include coaching entrepreneurs and helping them make the connections that will lead them to success, geeking out on big data, and writing.

Saumitra is an experienced speaker. Among other places, he’s spoken at US Special Operations Command and academic conferences about machine learning within healthcare.

Saumitra holds an MD from NYU, an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) and a BA from Amherst College. He completed his residency in internal medicine at UCLA. In addition to his work in venture capital, Saumitra provides inpatient medical care to his community in his spare time.
