Michi Garrison, Independent Consultant
Michi Garrison has over 30 years of experience in the medical device industry. She has led teams to develop ground-breaking new products and clinical procedures and is a named inventor/co-inventor on over 100 issued US patents. The products she has helped develop range from catheters, vascular implants, surgical instruments, disposable devices, and medical instrumentation. Michi was most recently VP R&D at Intervene; prior to that she was a co-founder and VP of Research and Development at Silk Road Medical. She has also held executive R&D positions at Heartport and CardioVasc. Michi received her A.B. in Biomechanical Engineering from Harvard University and her M.S. in Bioengineering from UC San Diego. She is now an independent consulting, assisting entrepreneurs, start-ups, and early stage companies to develop and manage their R&D and patent strategies.
