Dan Lowenstein, MD, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, UCSF
Daniel Lowenstein, MD is a Professor and vice chair in the Department of Neurology at UCSF. He became executive vice chancellor and provost in 2015. Dan has a BA degree from the Univ. of Colorado, an MS from The Pennsylvania State University, and an MD degree from Harvard Medical School. Lowenstein established the UCSF Epilepsy Research Laboratory and has served on the Advisory Council of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). Dan has played an active role as an advocate of cultural diversity and was awarded several recognitions for his work.
