If you find that you are unable to attend, you may request a refund up to 48 hours in advance. (This will give us time to offer the slot to the first person on the waitlist.) We regret that we cannot honor requests made at a later time.

About Dr. Anna Kushnir
Dr. Kushnir supports SMI’s robust portfolio of clients in medical technology. Prior to SMI, Dr. Kushnir served as the Director of Biosurveillance Programs and Business Development Coordinator for Gryphon Scientific, a research and analysis company that provides technical support to the federal government. Dr. Kushnir led efforts including technology foraging and assessment, literature review and analysis, as well as modeling of preparedness and response strategies to intentional and natural disease outbreaks on behalf of a range of federal clients. Dr. Kushnir also assisted small businesses in acquiring non-dilutive federal funds for research and development. Dr. Kushnir holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in Virology from Harvard University.
About Bill McCann
Mr. McCann combines political, policy and strategy experience to help clients navigate the federal market and successfully secure funding and policy goals. With over ten years of experience on Capitol Hill, Mr. McCann served as Chief of Staff to a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee. Both on and off the Hill, Mr. McCann works with companies and universities to plan and execute comprehensive strategies to secure federal R&D funding for innovative technologies as well as major procurement programs. Mr. McCann is on the Board of Directors of the GRA, the Government Relations Association. Mr. McCann holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Government from Georgetown University and a Masters of Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan with an emphasis in Corporate Strategy.
